Funny you should mention French language. When I was in elementary school; they were teaching French.

When I got to junior high school; they were teaching Spanish.

Maybe you might remember the line from the film (and book, 1st), 'The Snows of Kilimanjaro,' the line spoken to the star's African Black servant named Molo.... "Hello Molo, you White man's burden you,"? The truth that Hemingway recorded in his highly heralded book is every bit as true as it was when he first wrote it! Sadly, far too many these days, are, apparently too afraid of being labeled 'Racist,' to speak out the imminently obvious truth. By the way, NPR should stand for Not Particularly Reliable!
